Los Angeles, April 29, 2019-Co-founders Jennifer Champa and Penny Daily announced today the launch of PlanetDaily in the Apple Appstore and Google Play. Their aim is to pass on directory/mapping, deals, coupons, discounts, promo codes, loyalty punch cards, rewards, events, jobs, classes, gaming, product placement and research to consumers of cannabis. Also announced was a budtender appreciation program along with a phase II integration of a bud”tutor” and cultivators corner for Q&A within a public forum.
Each active feature within PlanetDaily allows the consumer, for free, to accrue herbiepoints which are used in the ScoreStore towards unique e-certificates and swag. Each herbiepoint earned is matched by PlanetDaily towards their three causes. Each cannabis business is simply amplifying their own giving by participating in the PlanetDaily #dopegiving program. Plans and ads costs are transparent and less than half of any competitor in the cannabis space for businesses. The intent is trifold. First, help people find the weed they need at a price that’s nice. Second, provide cost and time effective advertising options to cannabis and cannabis related businesses. Lastly, generate philanthropic funding to assist patients who cannot afford necessary medical cannabis, people who require financial assistance in order to expunge minor possession records, and funding for underrepresented people to have their own cannabis businesses.
As therapists we were witnessing a sharp increase in medical cannabis use and cost for our patients. In our research with them we found three things universal. One, the costs had become excessive due to taxation so they were still buying on the black market. Two, they felt like they weren’t getting any kind of incentive to continue going back to the same place. We created a thoughtful app that has things others don’t, like transparent pricing, custom ads where a business can purchase a plan and create all the ads in under five minutes conveniently in the palm of their hand. They can change these out as many times as they need. If they need to move product they can run that deal immediately. If they run out of something they can remove that deal. Our system is not attached to any POS system, therefore there is no worry about losing valuable loyalty if they switch that out. We don’t favor businesses or charge them extra, don’t allow for reviews which could be fake, and we amplify the businesses desire to give back to the cannabis community through #dopegiving”, stated Jennifer Champa, co-founder and Physical Therapist. “We pride ourselves on running a legitimate business in a legitimate industry. We have immediately integrated a reporting system for users to report businesses as unlicensed, closed, or in need of modification. Consumers and businesses are encouraged to be an active partner in giving by downloading the app in the Apple Appstore and Google Play to start saving and giving. Updates/Additions are being integrated weekly. Small businesses and large businesses in cannabis having difficulty advertising on social media and traditional marketing avenues are now able to get the exposure they need locally and nationally.
